I have long been a proponent of operating system manufacturers (well, OK, Microsoft, since that’s the only OS really targeted by virus makers) providing antivirus tools for free. It’s up to other software vendors to provide better antivirus if they want, but it’s too long smacked of cartel behaviour, and behaviour I’m surprised that the EU hasn’t smacked down in their usual busybody way.
Roll on June 23rd, and remember to consider not renewing that McAfee rip-off renewal.
