I’m ill. I’m flying back to New York tomorrow and would love a bed on the plane. I have like a trillion bazillion BA air miles. There is a seat left in First Class which is available for miles upgrade, but I can’t get that because I’m travelling 2 classes below.
Also, BA will not allow you to use miles on a ticket you’ve already flown part of.
United, although they won’t let you in the lounges on domestic first class tickets, will allow you to upgrade with miles up until the departure of the plane.
BA. You lose. And the people you hurt are not the people who fly with you twice a year, but the people who fly with you all the time and have the miles to part with.
