It makes my skin crawl. No, really, it does. Crawl.
It is not French. It is not even Cajun French. It’s stupid transliterated (or whatever the word is I’m looking for - forgive me please if I got it wrong) English-into-French nonsense: ”laissez les bon temps rouler”. It’s not even grammatically correct. “Bon” is singular, “les temps” is plural. But quite aside from that even a 1st year student of French would realise that the French never transliterate from English. They steal English words (Le Weekend, Le Blue Jeans), but they never give them sanctuary under their own roof.
Please. Just please stop saying it.
