3G or not 3G…
…why can’t they make my decision easy?
New stuff for the 3G iPhone, and some great changes, but some glaring omissions:
- Better camera. 2MP, in 2008?
- Choice of carriers. I *hate* AT&T even more than T-Mobile.
- In-store activation only. What?! What about the convenience of the internet and not having to actually be in contact with the normals? In New York that means far too great a chance of having to hang out with the East Coast Nathan Barleys for 20 minutes - enough to put me off anyway.
- All these point to one thing - not being able to switch SIM cards when I go abroad. Initially, and still, the main problem for me.
Oh, what do I do? It’s cheap enough that I probably don’t care and can upgrade when the time comes… Or should I wait for the 32Gb option which will doubtless appear in 2 months’ time?
