Nixta Rolls

When it’s pissing it down, as it occasionally does in New York (it tends to do weather pretty big, like much of the US), the drains on the Brooklyn, Williamsburg and Manhattan bridges pour straight down, sending jets of water straight down. Most of them go straight into the river, but I’ve been in a taxi that’s driven through one on the FDR. They dissipate by the time they reach road level so it was more of a strong shower than a windscreen smashing jet.

Now I can go and watch the water falling without having to get soaked doing it. Awesome.
