What English sounds like to foreigners.
An Italian singer wrote this song with gibberish to sound like English. If you’ve ever wondered what other people think Americans sound like, this is it.
Er. I’m not sure if I should confess this. This is exactly what most English language songs sound like to me. I’ve spent my entire life trying to learn to hear lyrics - I just can’t most of the time. I simply cannot. Sometimes I can learn to translate a particular sound into a word I recognize, but honestly with only very slightly more success than listening to this.
Obviously I can hear something like “Fly me to the moon”, but when there’s any noise, drums, guitar, etc., the chances are that I’ll get lost. I also spend so much effort just translating noise to words that I have almost zero recall of what I’ve heard.
