Signs of Spring - The Big Picture

Thomas suggested that I continue the animal theme (which I must confess was unintentional) and I’ve found myself finding animal connections everywhere.

DMC and I visited Chichen Itza about a year ago to the day for Tartley and Susan’s wedding (see my Flickr photo of them here, taken March 26th last year), and I was intrigued about what the shadow would look like and how exactly the shadows would conspire to form a snake and strike awe into the locals.

Well, now I know. The stone heads at the foot of the pyramid are, like much else at Chichen Itza, magnificent and imposing. Attach a body of light to them and they’re magical (unless perhaps you’re some scaredy-cat from Florida).
